The aim of this statutory guidance is to support the implementation of the All Wales Protocol: Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of Children who are at risk of abuse through sexual exploitation (October 2008), issued in Part 5 of the All Wales Child Protection Procedures.

Following consultation, it will replace Safeguarding Children Involved in Prostitution (Department of Health, Department for Education and Employment, National Assembly for Wales, 2000).

NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) is developing public health guidance on the NHS provision of contraceptive services for socially disadvantaged young people up to the age of 25.

This consultation will take place between 25 May and 23 June 2010.
